Die NaCl- Spüllösung führt zu verbessertem elek- trischem Kontakt und reduziert damit das Anhaften des Gewebes und die Notwendigkeit der intraoperativen Reinigung des Instruments. Forceps with integral irrigation are parti- cularly suitable for the coagulation of tis- sue where the coagulated tissue might stick firmly to the tip of the forceps (e.g. liver tissue or when used for neurosurgi- cal applications). The NaCl irrigation solution leads to an improved electrical contact which reduces the sticking of the tissue and thus the necessity of intraope- rative cleaning of the instrument.
